On the 13 February 2011, Shamrock Rovers and UWA played in the first "Eleanor Reinecke Memorial Trophy" match. The Game will be an annual event each year with the winner taking home the perpetual trophy. There were 3 games played on the day, the under-18s, the Reserves and First team matches. Before each game a moments silence was held and all players played with black arm bands on. The U18's unfortunately went down 5-3, while the reserves were held to a nil all game. The First team however, controlled their game against UWA and took home the trophy with 3-0 win. Thank you so much to both teams but especially to Shamrock for organising the day, and we all hope that the trophy never leaves the Rovers Trophy Cabinet.
